Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) apply to your use of the GTA Cash For Cars website (the “Site”) and to offers, vehicle pickup, towing, and vehicle purchases provided by GTA Cash For Cars (“we”, “us”, or “our”). By using the Site or our services, you agree to these Terms.

1. Our Services

We buy scrap, junk, damaged, and used vehicles and provide towing for vehicles we purchase in Toronto and the Greater Toronto Area. Service availability, pickup times, and coverage areas may vary.

2. Offers

• Offers given by phone, text, or online are estimates based on the information you provide about the vehicle.
• The final offer is confirmed when we inspect the vehicle at pickup. If the vehicle's year, make, model, condition, or components (for example, the catalytic converter, battery, wheels, or engine) differ from what was described, we may revise the offer. You may decline a revised offer.
• Because scrap metal and parts prices change, offers are valid for a limited time unless we state otherwise.

3. Ownership & Eligibility

To sell a vehicle to us, you must:

• Be at least 18 years old.
• Be the registered owner of the vehicle, or be legally authorized to sell it on the owner's behalf.
• Provide the vehicle ownership (registration) and valid government-issued photo ID at pickup.
• Tell us about any liens, loans, or other claims against the vehicle before pickup.

We may refuse any vehicle, including where ownership cannot be verified or we suspect the vehicle is stolen, and we may report suspected fraud to the authorities.

4. Pickup & Towing

• Towing is free for vehicles we purchase within our service area. Estimated arrival times are not guaranteed and may be affected by traffic, weather, and demand.
• You must give us safe, legal access to the vehicle. If the vehicle cannot be reached or safely towed, we may need to reschedule or adjust the offer.
• Please remove all personal belongings before pickup. We are not responsible for items left in the vehicle.
• You are responsible for removing your licence plates and for cancelling the vehicle's insurance after the sale.
• You may cancel or reschedule by calling or texting us before the driver arrives.

5. Payment & Transfer of Ownership

Payment is made at pickup once the offer is accepted and ownership documents are signed. Ownership of, and responsibility for, the vehicle passes to us when payment is made and the vehicle is in our possession. You confirm that the information and documents you give us are true and accurate.

6. Calls & Text Messages

By calling or texting us, or giving us your phone number, you agree that we may contact you by phone or text about your enquiry, offer, and pickup. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to stop receiving texts. See our Privacy Policy for how we handle your information.

7. Use of the Site

You agree not to misuse the Site, including by submitting false information, interfering with its operation, or attempting to access it by unauthorized means. Content on the Site, including text, graphics, and logos, belongs to us or our licensors and may not be copied without permission. Images may be representative and not of specific vehicles.

The Site may link to third-party websites or embed third-party services (such as our offer form). We are not responsible for third-party content or practices.

8. Disclaimer

The Site and its content are provided “as is” for general information. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we make no warranties, express or implied, about the Site, including that it will be accurate, complete, or uninterrupted.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Site or our services. Our total liability for any claim relating to a vehicle transaction is limited to the amount paid for that vehicle. Nothing in these Terms limits any rights you have under applicable consumer protection law that cannot be waived.

10. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify us against claims, losses, and expenses arising from false information you provide, a vehicle you did not have the right to sell, or your breach of these Terms.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. You agree to the jurisdiction of the courts of Ontario.

12. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a new effective date and applies from that date.
